In the economically and socially struggling nations of the CIS, orphanages are experiencing some of the greatest needs. The UECB has recognized the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to those without parents and the spiritual impact upon the orphans, the orphanage staffs, and their surrounding communities is astounding.

Abuse . . . Neglect . . . Abandonment

In Russia, Ukraine, Armenia and Kazakhstan, a number of state-run orphanages are allowing local missionaries and church workers to come in and share Christ’s love with their children. They are loving, nurturing, discipling and teaching these precious children about the love of God and the hope of the Gospel. The evangelical churches SGA serves want to expand this ministry to reach even more children. Through Orphans Reborn, we have the opportunity to help these church workers visit orphans on a regular basis, give them Bibles, provide emergency food and clothing, and disciple those who choose to follow the Lord.

Think about it ... the laws in America would expressly prohibit the idea of Christian workers freely ministering in such places. And in the Soviet Union, not many years ago, every one of these children would have been required to sit under state-mandated curriculum, teaching them that there is no God. But now, the truth of the Bible can be freely shared with every one of these precious little ones!

You Can Help

Each $50 gift makes it possible for a trained Orphans Reborn worker to reach one of these precious children with the Gospel for an entire year. This outreach of both discipleship and evangelism is conducted every month throughout the year, even in the harshest winter storms, and usually they are able to minister to these children on a weekly basis.

SGA serves Bible-preaching churches in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States by helping native pastors and churches reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
